This week is Grad week. So this week's assignment is going to be light. I just want you to gather clips and get comfortable with filming on your phone/DSLR/tablet/chrome book. When filming with different devices the first thing you have to do is to ensure you can stabilize your camera device to minimize shaky footage while you practice. Practice filming a pet, an insect, a sibling or a person who is willing to filmed while they are doing stuff such as chores. Most people will participate if you promise to not film their face.
Sometimes you have to be your own subject which means you have two jobs of a camera person and of a talented actor. You might have to set the camera up by leaning against an object and then hit record or use a self-timer to get you in front of the camera ready to act. It might take you out of the comfort zone, but I know you can do it in the name of creativity and self growth.

You are going to film 13 clips minimum. Each clip is to be between 5-8 seconds, they can be longer but when we edit them down they might even be less than 3 seconds. The more clips you film the more choice you have when you are editing. I edit videos at least three times a week. It is so much easier when I can choose from two clips of the same action, but shot from a different angle or a different shot (mid-shot or a close-up) than feeling stuck with that clip that might not comfortably convey the message that I am are trying to get across. Once you are done filming, upload them as they were filmed, not edited to a folder in google drive called Film Clips#1. So I can give you praise and if you need some advice in improving your filming skills I can also offer that.
So pick one of these topics or come up with one of your own:
-Cooking something
-Getting cereal and having breakfast in the morning
-Playing in the backyard
-Playing video games/board games/cards
-Playing with your pet
-Fixing/repairing something
-Watering the grass or garden
-Doing Homework
-Your choice
