Phone picture challenge

Thank you to all who have filled out the form, I encourage you to get your friends to also fill it out.

It seems everyone has a phone and can use that to capture images. I am also only using my phone to do all these videos and take pictures. Storage might become an issue on your phone, so make sure you are transferring the images and videos from your phone and putting them into your google drive folder. Google drive is a gret way for you to backup your images and movie files, so get into a good habit and create a folder system so that you can locate those files later on. Create a photography folder for this class and another for your other non school photos, keeping them seperated and organized will save you time when looking for a specific photo.

Photo challenge "light on white"

Find some white objects, now don't go crazy, two to four whitish objects will do. You will arrange these items together in an interesting composition. Every household will have some white objects such as: paper towels, napkins, utensils, towels, socks, or cooking suplies like salt or flour. If there is nothing white in the house, open the door and go outside in the white snow.

Composition is about using your eyes. Moving around and really looking at the objects. Look at the shapes of shadows these objects create, the way light bounces off, the reflections that create new shapes. It's about creating contrast through the various textures of the materials of the objects you've selected. Creating harmony between similar objects you've selected. So go beyond looking at these objects as objects but rather a combination of lines, shapes, light, shadows they create when they are next to each other. Explore and have fun! Take lots and lots of photos.
